Privacy notice
Last updated 25 October 2026
Food Radar sends businesses a weekly list of newly registered UK food businesses. This notice explains what personal information we use and why. Questions or requests: hello@si-systems.co.uk.
If you join the waitlist
What we collect: your email address, and if you choose to give them, your company name, what you sell, the postcode areas you cover and the plan you'd pick.
Why: to send the free sample issue you asked for and to tell you when Food Radar launches. Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or emailing us. We don't sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing.
How long: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after launch if you don't become a customer, whichever comes first.
Businesses listed in Food Radar
Lists come from the Food Standards Agency's public Food Hygiene Rating register, published under the Open Government Licence. Where a business is run by an individual (for example a sole trader), its name and address can be personal information. We use it on the basis of legitimate interests: helping suppliers find new businesses that may need their services, using information the register already publishes.
Our public web pages show only the business name, type and postcode district, and leave out home-based categories such as mobile caterers. Full addresses go only to subscribers, who must contact businesses lawfully. If you run a listed business and want it removed from Food Radar, email us and we'll remove it from future issues and pages.
Who helps us
Our waitlist form runs on Tally, the website is hosted by Cloudflare, and email runs on Microsoft 365. They process data on our behalf. Some may process it outside the UK under approved safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
